Filming with Children

If you want to work with children you need a special permit from the responsible supervisory body in question, as minors must not be employed under Federal Law.
The employer has to apply for the special permit. It is valid for all places listed in the approval. If the shooting takes place over various districts, the corresponding departments should receive a copy of the approval. The approval is limited and revocable at any time. It states the duration and kind of employment, breaktimes as well as the maximum time a child can stay on the filmset during a day. In addition, it may impose further conditions and obligations on the employer.
The special permits must be paid for.
