Filming in Waterworks, Sewerage and Purification Plants - Berlin
In Berlin the Berliner Wasserbetriebe (waterworks) are responsible for all plants and facilities regarding water supply sewage disposal.
For the water supply, they operate eleven waterworks, four plants for surface water conditioning and groundwater preparation, five intermediate pumping plants and a 7700 km water pipe network.
The city's drainage and sewage systems consists of an 8800 km long sewerage network with 149 pumping plants and six purification plants. The smallest diameter of a canal is 20 cm, the largest profiles have measurements of 4.40 by 3.40 meters.
The historical buildings of the Friedrichshagen waterworks house the museum and the historic archive of the Berliner Wasserbetriebe.
