Berlin

Trailer trips may only be made with vehicles that have a special exception approval according to §46 Paragraph 1 No. 5. You can find providers of such vehicles here.

The route (including date and time) must be communicated to the Central Road Traffic Authority so that police authorities can be informed.

The following additional requirements are mandatory for trailer trips:

  • Objects and people must be secured on the trailer for filming so that they cannot fall while driving.
  • It must be ensured that the cinematographers remain seated in their designated seats during filming.
  • The license holder must inform the responsible police section about the filming and planned routes in advanced. 
  • Instructions from police officers that may be opposing this exemption must be followed.
  • If the requierements are not fullfilled the permit can be revoked at any time. 

Brandenburg

Permission for filming with trailer vehicles can be applied for at the lower road traffic authority of the respective district or city.

There is no special form. Please use the one for public roads.

Please note:

Trailer journeys on motorways need to be requested separately from the Freeway Authority “Autobahn GmbH Niederlassung Nordost”.
